This hands-on course expands on the Back to Basics Fixed Prosthodontics #1 course for single tooth restorations in June 2014 and is aimed at general practitioners who may wish to increase their practical skills in Fixed Prosthodontics for multiple tooth restorations and endodontically treated teeth. It is not necessary to have attended the earlier course.
Participants will be able to review their preparations and techniques with the presenters. It will be an opportunity for clinicians to handle and manipulate materials that they might have always wanted to try or may be unfamiliar with.
Topics include:
- Tooth preparation for a variety of prosthodontic restorations and situations
- Impression taking techniques
- Provisional restorations for crown and bridge
- Duralay post and core preparation
- Preparations for 3 unit bridges, resin bonded bridges and endodontically treated teeth
- Impression techniques for multiple teeth and direct-indirect pattern fabrication
- Provisional restorations.
