The secret is in the details: Likelike CAD-CAM restorations with a human touch. Did you know that it is very easy to trick the human brain? If you show enough details, the brain can’t realise what is real and what is fake. This is the secret to achieving natural looking restorations.

Course Description

Today CAD-CAM is one of the fastest growing areas in Dentistry. It is important to familiarise yourself with which areas need attention to detail to achieve outstanding restorations.

Software engineers provide amazing tooth libraries and great tools for designing a tooth, but we still need to be aware of what is possible, what is not true to nature, and what adjustments are necessary for a great outcome.

After we finalise the shape and surface morphology, the next step is the art of staining and glazing.

Ivoclar Vivadent have great CAD-CAM Stains and Glazes, but to achieve an outstanding result, it is still challenging if you do not know how to apply the material correctly. With incorrect techniques, you can ruin both your shade and morphology. The final step is manual polishing, since the lustre of natural enamel is delicate, we can only hope to reach similar results with correct manual polishing procedures. On this course, I will share my 20+ years of experience with morphology and ceramic materials.
