This Career Development Workshop for Dental Hygienists and Oral Health Therapists aims to provide a unique opportunity for these professionals to learn about career development across the lifespan, and how they may work towards fulfilling and meaningful careers. The day will include a panel discussion involving hygienists that have pursued alternate career paths, and a portfolio template for ongoing career development.
On completion of the Workshop, clients would have:
- an increased awareness of their personal career journey, skills and attributes;
- an increased awareness of the opportunities for alternate career paths for oral health professionals;
- an understanding of how we make decisions about our career and the ability to apply that knowledge; and
- developing strategies to cope with career changes.
