Mastering Cementation – Making the Right Choice
The most commonly used permanent cements can broadly be categorised as resin-modified glass ionomers, self-adhesive resin cements, and resin cements used with a tooth primer/adhesive. Cement selection for permanent restorations must balance the amount of retention needed from the cement with the clinical conditions present to allow an adhesive procedure. This lecture will present the advantages of each type of permanent cement.
The lecture will highlight a novel cement system that can be used with or without a tooth adhesive. The advantages of this novel cement system and research data for this system will be presented.
