The intended audience for this event includes:
CONE BEAM COURSE OBJECTIVES:
- Production of X-rays, biological effects of ionizing radiation and radiation protection.
- Radiation Safety Act (Qld) and the regulations relating to the use of irradiating apparatus in Qld.
- Theory of Cone beam imaging
- Limitations of cone beam imaging
- Cone beam imaging verses multi-slice CT
- Applications of cone beam imaging
- Viewing and assessing CB data sets
- Cone beam examination (for those wanting a cone beam license)
This course is approved by Radiation Health Queensland
The open book written examination is 30 minutes duration and marked by Professor Paul Monsour.
The candidates can choose to undertake the examination if they wish.
This course is open to registered Dentists and Oral Health Therapists, as well as Dental Assistants with Certificate IV in Dental Assisting (Radiography) (copy required).
Registration price includes mandatory attendance at the morning Extra-Oral Radiography Pre-Licensing course.
