The intended audience for this event includes:
Technological advances in rotary nickel titanium (NiTi) instrumentation systems have improved the predictability and efficiency of endodontic treatment. This full day hands-on course will introduce participants to the most clinically relevant rotary NiTi systems, and will teach state-of-the-art evidence-based techniques for root canal preparation and obturation. The program is suited to both novices and experienced users looking to progress their knowledge and skill base. This course will lay the foundations for successful contemporary endodontics, and aims to improve your treatment outcomes and clinical satisfaction.
What You Will Learn:
- How to best select and use contemporary rotary NiTi file systems.
- How and when to use an electronic apex locator to greatly improve the accuracy and efficiency of working length determination.
- An effective irrigation regimen based on current best evidence.
- How to integrate instrumentation and obturation to improve efficiency and achieve predictable results.
- Troubleshooting common endodontic procedural problems.
Requirements: We ask that participants bring with them 2 extracted teeth (preferably molars). These will be exchanged for a demonstration block of teeth, prepared in advance for this course and also disinfected to OHCWA infection control protocols. All other materials will be provided. You are welcome to bring along your optical loupes.
