Course Description

Enamel loss is becoming an increasingly common problem for our patients… it occurs insidiously through dietary or other environmental causes. The obesity epidemic has also increased the prevalence of gastric reflux disease. The resultant loss of vertical dimension creates restorative challenges for the dentist, as cusps and supporting enamel are lost.

 Learning Objectives

  • Recognise tooth wear - early and late stages

  • Differentiate different patterns of wear

  • Preventative strategies for your patients

  • Understand why enamel is critical to teeth

  • Use a variety of materials to manage enamel loss

  • Recognise loss of vertical dimension and the transference of stresses to other teeth

  • Manage vertical loss with a variety of restorative techniques

Who should attend

Dentists wishing to learn more about erosion and the different treatment options available.
