The intended audience for this event includes:
EXTRA-ORAL RADIOGRAPHY COURSE OBJECTIVES:
- Production of X-rays, biological effects of ionizing radiation and radiation protection.
- Theory of Panoramic and cephalometric radiography
- Extra-oral technique and positioning errors
- Radiation Safety Act (Qld) and the regulations relating to the use of irradiating apparatus in Qld.
- Extra-oral radiography examination (for those wanting an extra-oral license).
This course is approved by Radiation Health Queensland
The open book written examination is 30 minutes duration and marked by Professor Paul Monsour.
The candidates can choose to undertake the examination if they wish.
This course is open to registered Dentists and Oral Health Therapists, as well as Dental Assistants with Certificate IV in Dental Assisting (Radiography) (copy required).
Delegates can choose to register for the afternoon Cone Beam Pre-Licensing course if they wish.
