Guided bone regeneration (GBR) is one of the most common surgical methods employed for reconstructing alveolar bone, including repair of alveolar ridge defects and peri-implant bone deficiencies. The efficacy and long-term success of GBR is well documented, with evidence that long-term survival rates of implants placed in GBR augmented sites being similar to those of implants placed in non-augmented sites. A number of biological, surgical, and prosthetic factors must be carefully considered in order to consistently ensure this efficacy and long-term success.
This full-day workshop will analyse these factors (and the impact that they may have on successful GBR) and focus on the advancement of practical skills and innovative techniques that will enable management of demanding clinical situations.
The following aspects will be thoroughly discussed, via presentations and surgical footage, and practiced on pig jaws:
• Improved GBR protocols for simultaneous grafting
• Advanced GBR protocols for staged lateral and vertical grafting
• Modified GBR protocols for peri-implantitis related defects
• Guided soft tissue regeneration (GSTR)
• Indication based flap designs (Combination flap, Double flap)
• Suturing techniques

A 50% refund (minus the processing fee) will be given for cancellations of up to 2 weeks prior to the event. No refund will be given for cancellations made with less than two weeks’ notice.
