Direct Composite Resin Restorations are the most commonly utilised restoration in the contemporary General Dental Practice. This practical interactive advanced program is designed to teach dentists how to apply contemporary direct composite techniques that can then be utilised to produce an efficient and high-quality aesthetic result. With two full days of intense content and hands on experience, different scenarios in the anterior dentition will be covered. From simple single shade restorations to multi-layered aesthetic restorations, participants will be able to learn how great looking restorations can be achieved without the confusion of shade taking and difficult layering.

 

Anterior Direct Restorations

  1. To understand the material science of composite resin and the process of dentine-enamel bonding.
  2. To understand the aesthetic principles of composite resin shade matching and placement techniques when utilising direct tooth coloured restorations.
  3. To understand finishing and polishing techniques to achieve proper anatomy, function and texture.

  • Advanced Concepts for Direct Restorations in the Anterior Dentition
    • Diastema closure including the restoration of the peg lateral incisor and microdont teeth.
    • Masking discoloured teeth with direct resin.
    • Protocol for managing multiple restorations in direct resin.
