This course is designed to update the practitioner on techniques that can be used to improve the aesthetics of direct anterior composite restorations.
 
This all day program is a combination of lectures and hands-on components. Participants will be introduced to a variety of diff erent techniques to achieve an optimal aesthetic outcome.

Topics include
 
  • Tooth anatomy of the anterior dentition
  • Update on composite and bonding technology
  • Understanding the colour and aesthetics ofmodern composites
  • Simplifi ed techniques for direct layering of composites
  • Characterisation of composites using tints and masking agents
 
Learning Objectives
 
At the conclusion of the day participants should be able to:
  • Be able to complete layering of a single central incisor using multiple composite shades
  • Understand the chemistry and technology of the latest generation of bonding agents
  • Assess and replicate the anatomy of an anterior tooth using composite resin
  • Understand the chemistry, technology and shades of modern composites
  • Be able to use staining and tints to mimic natural tooth characteristics
Product information and a technique manual will also be provided.
