This comprehensive hands-on, one-day interactive seminar, presented by the Cynergex Group, is designed to give all members of the dental team the confidence, knowledge, skills and understanding needed:
- to recognise serious medical conditions that are likely to be encountered in daily dental practice
- to carry out quick but safe and accurate medical assessments of patients
- to deliver CPR
- to manage medical emergencies.
Course materials and simulation activities are organised in three modules:
- airway and respiratory maintenance using Igels, aspirators, supplementary oxygen therapy and bag and mask ventilation and use of automated external defibrillator
- use of acute care drug kit and managing emergencies in specific medical conditions
- scenarios involving the whole dental team in dealing with medical emergencies in practice.
This course is outstanding in the emphasis it places on how to manage the patient, your team and your equipment in providing quick, effective and safe care. The energetic style of both presenters will have you and your team focussed and engaged in the simulation exercises and lively discussion.
