Event Details...

The intended audience for this event includes:

Oral appliance therapy for sleep disorders is a great contribution to the health of your patients and a new source of revenue for the practice.

You already have a “practice within a practice” of patients who would benefit greatly from this treatment.

Proven methods of marketing will be demonstrated which will provide you with a regular stream of new patients.

The training will enable you to implement all the clinical steps into your practice including:

  • Screening for snoring, sleep apnoea and bruxism.
  • Organise and interpret sleep studies, supported by a sleep physician – an essential requirement for practising in the field.
  • Understand the range of current appliances. And all the pluses and minuses of each.
  • Select an optimal appliance for each patient.
  • Fit appliances that require minimal chair side adjustment.
  • Understand the criteria for success & problem solving.
  • Learn about the latest research in bruxism and the splint design specialists use.
  • Deliver an occlusal splint for bruxism with minimal dimensions, achieving maximum comfort and long-term compliance.
  • Taking a registration for achieving an optimal occlusion, requiring no adjustment and minimal time for fitting.
  • Learning the communication skills that lead to high case acceptance.

Who should attend?

This training program is suitable for dentists new to dental sleep medicine as well as experienced dentists who want to take their practice to the next level.

It is also recommended for key staff members who have an important role to play in answering questions as well as educating and motivating patients.
