The content of this 3-day course is delivered electronically and face-to-face. Course registrants complete specified reading, lectures, activities and quizzes at home at their own pace. While on the university campus registrants will participate in small-group lectures, discussions and hands-on sessions, and will learn to expose, assess and examine images using state-of-the art digital panoramic x-ray equipment in the Dental Simulation Clinic.

This course suits the needs of dentists, dental hygienists, dental therapists, oral health therapists and dental assistants who seek training in panoramic radiography. It focuses on the practical aspects of panoramic imaging, delivers in-depth understanding of the image, and is approved by the South Australian EPA and by the Dental Board of Australia.

Please note that this course does not cover panoramic radiodiagnosis. Practitioners wishing to gain diagnostic experience are encouraged to attend this year’s September evening seminar.
