The intended audience for this event includes:

Clinical research supports the importance of having an adequate quality and quantity of soft tissues around dental implants in order to ensure long-term stable and aesthetic outcomes. The Free Gingival Graft (FGG) and the (subepithelial) Connective Tissue Graft (CTG) are the gold standard treatments for the management of inadequate keratinised tissue width and soft tissue volume deficiencies, respectively. Although well-documented and successful treatment modalities, the use of autogenous tissues are not without disadvantages. Of particular note is the need to perform donor site surgery (with the associated surgical morbidities) and the challenge of achieving an optimal soft tissue aesthetic outcome.

This half-day workshop will provide fundamental insights into indication-based surgical techniques and use of biomaterials for:

- Increasing width of keritinised mucosa
- Augmenting peri-implant mucosal thickness
- Managing soft tissue dehiscences
- Regeneration of peri-implantitis related defects

The above clinical scenarios will be thoroughly discussed during the workshop (via presentations and surgical footage) with participants practicing these techniques on pig jaws.

Please feel free to bring your loupes.
