Course 1 (Day 1): Posterior Composites - Technique for Achieving Maximum Aesthetics
The placement of direct posterior composite restorations can be difficult. The dentist requires an understanding of both bonding and shade determination along with handling, shaping and polishing the material. When restoring proximal surfaces, achieving an adequate contact point can often be a challenge.

Dr Terry Wong addresses these issues and equips the dentist with the skills to achieve durable and aesthetic results by adopting a simplified approach, with fewer instruments.

On completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Competently select shades for posterior composite restorations
• Reduce post-operative sensitivity with bonding
• Achieve occlusal anatomy and tight contact points
• Minimise occlusal adjustments
• Understand which instruments to use
• Refine the skills of shaping, finishing and polishing of composites

Course 2: Anterior Direct Bonding - A Simplified Approach
Dr Terry Wong presents a morning lecture that highlights the important aspects of smile design. Participants will gain an understanding of how to select shades of composite and then manipulate and place layers of different shades of composite to produce an improved aesthetic outcome.

An afternoon hands-on program focuses on the direct placement of composite resin for the correction of aesthetic issues ranging from misshaped and misaligned teeth.

On completion of the course, participants will be able to:

• Understand the principles of smile design
• Improve your aesthetics skills in direct composite resin veneers
• Gain a better understanding of colour and how to select the appropriate shades of composite and manage discoloured teeth
• Use hands-on techniques for multi-layering of composite resin shades
• Refine your skills of shaping, finishing and polishing of composites
