"Tooth Aesthetics" are becoming more and more important as the key to successful restorations. Restorations made 15 years ago would struggle to compete in today’s market due to more efficient techniques and aesthetic materials. Patient demand has increased, despite the ever-present price pressure.

During the fabrication of today’s all-ceramic tooth restorations, we distinguish between two procedures.

Manual processing using the press technique or machine processing using the CAD/CAM technique. Thanks to the polychromatic ingots, discs, blocks and ingots of the IPS e.max and IPS empress range, fabrication of high aesthetic restorations in the anterior region is now possible using the latest in materials and techniques. How does it all fit together in a daily routine? Where are the limits? Where is manual intervention still required? Are patients and dentists today able to distinguish from an elaborately layered crown to a stained crown? This advanced course will address these issues from a theoretical and practical perspective.

• This course will focus on the strategic points in surface texture, anatomy and 3D staining technique of anterior teeth
• How can we decide which is the right material to use?
• The potential and versatility of the entire e.max system will be discussed, as well as the application of various materials

Participants are requested to bring their working instruments brushes, grinding instruments and loupes although there will be a range of grinding instruments and brushes available on the day
