Event Details...
A review on periodontal instrumentation practice and aim with specific focus on the use of the power scaler. This course will identify and discuss operator and patient benefits, considerations and management prior to and during the use of the power scaler. You will explore magnetostrictive and piezoelectric technology including the units and apparatus to individualize and enhance the clinical application of specifically designed tips and inserts.
We will discuss the management and handling of the units, inserts and tips with specific reference to efficacy, efficiency and maintenance. In the hands-on workshop we will guide you through the principals of infection control, ergonomic practice, tip adaptation and strokes using the power scalers on manikins.
