Zirconia has had clinical applications in dentistry for over 15 years.  There are now many different zirconia materials available and expanded clinical applications for their use.  This presentation will discuss the evolution of the commercially available materials, the indications for their use, and potential long term issues that may arise and how to prevent them.  Various bonding and luting strategies for the material will be discussed, and all restorations from single units to full arch zirconia bridges will be presented.  The hands on component will explore single tooth preparation as well as resin bonded bridge design for zirconia.
