Don’t miss this extraordinary opportunity to join renowned Dr Ben Lee, Prosthodontist, in a very hands-on heavy and comprehensive course, including crown prep, impression taking and making a provisional crown.
Dental crown restorations are a common treatment modality by most dentists. However, many dental crowns are seen as sub-optimal and many dentists face problems regarding their outcome.
This unique course aims to help you improve your skills in every step of the crowning process - from start to finish.
You will experience a patient’s journey from a comprehensive assessment, specialised crown preparation techniques and making an ideal provisional, to a successful cementation outcome.
Benefit from 50:50 of lectures and hands-on activities, allowing you to immediately practice new techniques to improve your skills and understanding.

Topics include:
- Comprehensive assessment of the patient to identify risks
- Post and core indications and selection process
- Crown preparation including PFM, FGC and all ceramic
- Impression taking including both 1-step and 2-step techniques
- The importance of making ideal provisionals, especially for anterior cases
- Ceramic update to cover all common classes of ceramic material, indications and selection process
Learning Objectives:
- To understand the risk factors for treatment and how to communicate these effectively to the patient
- To understand different post and core systems and when to use each
- To have a better understanding of the all critical steps of crowning including: tooth preparation, impression taking, provisionalisation and cementation.
- To understand the various classes of dental ceramic and indication on when to use each
- To improve clinical competency via hands-on exercises in: crown preparation, taking 1-step and 2-step impressions, provisional crown.
