About Kent Hotel
The Kent Hotel is a classic corner pub in Carlton North, renovated with a surfeit of style and overlooking beautiful Curtain Square in the heart of Rathdowne Village. The broad al fresco dining area is hard to beat - it’s not too hard to imagine you’re on a Parisian street - and the bi-fold doors we throw open on a warm day bring a 21st-cenutry aesthetic to the classic pub bone structure.
Our menu swings modern Australian by way of both sides of the Mediterranean. We’re a pub first and foremost so we serve one of the best fish and chips in town, great Neapolitan-style pizzas and a rib-eye to please the sternest carnivore. For those who want to adventure further, our award-winning French-Algerian chef Pierre Khodja brings his own flair with signature dishes such as pan-fried sardines with chakchouka and chilli.
Our drinks list has just undergone a major renovation. We’re now serving some amazing cocktails and spritzers, craft beers and wines from around the world. Mocktail drinkers - we haven’t forgotten about you either.
Upstairs the Kent Hotel also has a private event space with its own outdoor terrace where we can cater for private parties or corporate functions, accommodating anywhere from 30 to 140 guests.
