About The Lord Anson
Lord Admiral George Anson was a British Royal Navy Officer in the 17th and 18th Century. Widely respected, highly decorated and courageously adventurous, Lord Anson lead a squadron of eight ships on a circumnavigation of the globe 1740-1744 in service to the Kingdom of Great Britain.
With eight warships, two towns, and one street in Orange, NSW named after the famed Lord Admiral George Anson, The Lord Anson Public House is his latest honoured namesake.
The Lord Anson is Orange's newest venue, offering a classic, laid-back pub atmosphere.
