Hands-on Workshop
Napier, NEW ZEALAND
From: 5:00 PM Tuesday, 25 March, 2025
Registration opens at 4:30 PM
To: 8:00 PM Tuesday, 25 March, 2025
PROGRAM
Harnessing the significant benefits of biomimetic materials, paired with cutting-edge advancements in restorative technology such as glass hybrid restorative system and composites, there has never been a more reliable means to preserve tooth structure through a minimally invasive approach. This approach extends the longevity of teeth and postpones the need for indirect restorative interventions.
Glass Hybrid Technology introduces a self-adhesive, bulk-fill restorative method that mirrors the handling, setting, and aesthetics of conventional glass ionomer cements. However, it surpasses them in terms of physical properties, offering superior wear resistance, fracture toughness, and overall durability for permanent restoration. Additionally, employing a lamination technique with a single dispersion nanofiller and reinforced resin coating further enhances the strength of the restoration.
Recent advancements in this approach empower clinicians to achieve improved prognoses and deliver exceptional patient care through a simplified layering technique. In alignment with these innovative techniques and materials, glass hybrid restorative system and short fibre-reinforced composite resins emerge as reliable, conservative, multifunctional, and aesthetic restorative option for direct restorations.
In this workshop you will:
Sectional matrix selection and placement, creating the ideal contact.
Learn how to efficiently restore an extended Class II cavity using either glass hybrid as dentine replacement.
Learn simple occlusal build-up with minimal finishing and polishing.
