About Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry
The Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry Inc. was formed when the Australian Society of Dentistry for Children and the New Zealand Society of Dentistry for Children amalgamated in 1988. Paediatric dentistry is defined as that area of dentistry concerned with comprehensive preventive and therapeutic oral health care of children from birth through adolescence. Generally, it is understood that the definition also includes the oral health care of patients with special needs beyond the age of adolescence. The Society is committed to the study and advancement of paediatric dentistry, and the promotion of education in the field of paediatric dentistry.
