SPEAKER PROFILE
Dr Aniko Ball
BDSc (Melb), LDS, Clin.Dip.Hyp.
General Dentist
AUSTRALIA
Dr Aniko Ball suffered more than 30 years of neck, shoulder and lower back pain as a practising dentist. Six years ago she contemplated forced retirement as on some days she was hardly mobile, and doctors and physical therapists considered her a hopeless case; none identified work related injury.
Fortunately she commenced learning the Alexander Technique to improve her posture and is now doing Yoga in her spare time and no longer considering retirement.
Aniko is passionate about the transformative impact of the Alexander Technique and has undertaken a 1600-hour part-time course at the Melbourne Alexander School. With Michael Shellshear, Aniko has developed “Optimum Posture Management” to address chronic work related pain issues of dentists.
