Dr Annetta Tsang (nee Wan) graduated from dentistry in 1998 from The University of Queensland with first class honours and a university medal. Annetta’s passion for paediatric dentistry and dental education led her to pursue postgraduate studies; including a graduate certificate in clinical dentistry in 2000, a PhD in paediatric dentistry in 2003, a graduate certificate in higher education in 2006, a master in medical sciences (pain management) in 2007 and a doctorate in clinical dentistry (paediatric dentistry) in 2012. As an academic, Annetta was awarded a UQ Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning in 2009 and an Australian Awards for University Teaching Citation in 2012. As a researcher, Annetta has published over 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals, most as first author, including the Journal of Dental Research. As a clinician, Annetta has worked in public and private dental settings; previously as a general dentist and more recently, as a dental specialist in paediatric dentistry.
