Presented by Dr Igor Cernavin, BDS (Adel) MDSc (Melb) FADI MRACDS, Australian Association for Laser Dentistry. Dr Cernavin is a recognised Australian authority on lasers in dentistry and has successfully integrated their use into his specialist prosthodontic practice.
He is the Australian representative since inception to the World Federation for Laser Dentistry (WFLD). He is also a member of the International Society for Laser in Dentistry (ISLD) and the author of a number of scientific publications in the area of lasers in dentistry.
He has lectured extensively on lasers in dentistry in Australia and overseas, as well as presenting results of his research at both ISLD and WFLD meetings. He was the first in Australia to formally study the effect of lasers on tooth structure.
