Lara Friedlander Qualified From The University Of Otago In 1992. Thereafter She Worked In Hospitals And General Practice Whilst Completing Her Fellowship With The Racds. In 1999, Lara Completed Her Specialist Training In Endodontics At The University Of Otago, And Since 2008 Has Been A Full Time Senior Lecturer In Endodontics And Has Completed A Phd In Pulp Angiogenesis And Regenerative Healing In Immature Permanent Teeth. She Co-Ordinates Undergraduate And Postgraduate Clinical Teaching In Endodontics And Has Been Responsible For Introducing And Delivering Advanced Endodontic Modules In Rotary Endodontics Into The Undergraduate Bds Programme. She Was Invited To Switzerland To Present The Outcomes Of This Published Work With Other International Universities. Lara Is A An Examiner For The Final Racds General Practice Examination And Has Lectured Internationally With Publications And Research Interests In Endodontic Education And Improving Clinical Teaching And Is An Active Member Of The Clinical Research And Oral Immunopathology Research Groups Within The Sir John Walsh Research Institute At The Faculty Of Dentistry.
Most Recently Lara Has Had Key Involvements In The Establishment Of New Zealand’s First Practice Based Research Network (Pbrn) Known As Arch (Applied Research Through Clinicians’ Hands) Which Aims To Reduce Translation Of Research Into Clinically Useful Initiatives That Improve Patient Treatment Outcomes In Dental Practices; And With Research Questions Generated In The Real World By Nz Clinicians. She Has Been Lead Researcher In The First Three Pbrn Projects Related To Vital Pulp Therapy Practices In New Zealand.
