Mark has been a member of this Division of the ADA for 36 years. He first came to the region in 1982 to a small western town, Warren. After returning to Sydney to complete an orthodontic degree he returned to Bathurst.
Despite working well away from Sydney Mark established an online forum 21 years ago with Poe Lim, who had worked in Cowra. The Ozdent discussion group remains the least commercial electronic discussion group in Australia.
Mark has published articles on Mathematics of occlusion, attritional occlusion and a multimedia publication via the University of Queensland. He has lectuered several time at several ASO national congresses and several ASO NSW clinical days. More recently he lectured on engineering tolerances at the Asia pacific orthodontic congress in Sabah 2014. He has been to Khon Kaen many times to teach in the postgraduate department and has lectuered at Mahidol and Chulalongkorn Universities in Bangkok.
The understanding the rational basis of aesthetics and its application in dentistry has been a continuing theme of study for Mark for 28 years. It is not an easy subject to master yet it is hoped that some aspects will be transferred to you in the forthcoming lecture.
