Dr Nour E Tarraf

Dr Tarraf finished his BDS at Cairo University with Honors in 2001 and then after 2 years in private practice joined the Department of Orthodontics at Cairo University. In 2005 he moved to Sydney to start the Masters degree in Orthodontics, which he completed in 2008 with Honors. He worked at the University of Sydney as full time lecturer involved in both teaching, research and clinical work until he moved to private practice in 2009.Dr Tarraf has a special interest in the use of skeletal anchorage and temporary anchorage devices (TADs) for various orthodontic applications including growth modification in growing children. He also enjoys lingual orthodontics and esthetic appliances and has worked extensively with lingual appliances in the past five years. He also has an interest in research and teaching and is involved in a number of research projects with the University of Sydney Department of Orthodontics. He also lectures in the Long Ortho Course, which is part of the University of Sydney continuing education program. He is also currently working towards a PhD on the application of skeletal anchorage in growth modification in orthodontics and has lectured both nationally and internationally.
