Professional Memberships
Dr Phillip Zoldan is in private practice in Edgecliff, Sydney. He is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the Academy of Dentistry International and has a Certificate of Qualification in the Educational Applications of Generative Learning and Neuro-Linguistic Programming. He was also a Senior Clinical Tutor at Westmead Clinical Dental School and a Senior Clinical Associate at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Sydney.
Since 1982 he has been sought after as a lecturer on aesthetic dentistry, emphasising how to achieve long-term aesthetic and clinical success with a conservative approach. His lectures also stress the importance of communicating effectively with the patient and the entire treatment team. Internationally he has spoken at conferences in USA, Bali, Philippines, Hong Kong, Malaysia and has toured South Africa and New Zealand.
Within Australia at the post-graduate level, he has lectured to dental groups and societies in all Australian states and at national and state conferences. He, along with Prof Martin Tyas has facilitated continuing dental education hands-on workshops in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane. At the undergraduate level, he has lectured at the dental schools in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, and has assisted the Dental Assistant's Association in their training programme. He co-designed and taught the Advanced Composite Resin Course to Year 4 dental students at Sydney University from 1990 to 2003 with Prof Roland Bryant and he has lectured to Yr 4 and 5 dental students at Melbourne University on "Successful Aesthetic Dentistry" since 1997.
Apart from his private practice and teaching commitments, Dr Zoldan is also an ADA spokesperson on aesthetic dentistry and is on Council of the ADA NSW Branch, and serves on many committees. He is known for his sense of humour both professionally and privately, is a keen golfer and private pilot.
