Dr Robert Junner is a specialist prosthodontist, fellow of the International College of Dentists, Pierre Fauchard Academy and the RACDS. He has served on the Queensland Regional Committee of the RACDS since 1992 as secretary, treasurer and then Chair for 18 years. He has been an examiner for the College in the Special Stream Field of Prosthodontics on four occasions and has been a member of the Australian Prosthodontic Society since 1990, also having held the positions of secretary and treasurer. He has most recently served as secretary and then president of the Queensland branch of the Australian Osseointegration Society between 2011 and 2014. He graduated from the University of Queensland in 1985 with honours and produced an ADRF research paper. After a year in government practice he returned to lecture at the University of Queensland and complete a Masters Degrees leading to registration in Prosthodontics in 1991. He has maintained a specialist private practice in Prosthodontics since 1994 and practices all areas of prosthodontics where implants and ceramic crowns have become routine but still has a passion for the use of composite resin to replace teeth especially in the younger patient. Since commencing his private practice in 1994, he continued for many years as a part time lecturer in the Restorative Dentistry and has regularly presented at study clubs, the Australian Dental Congress and other conferences.
