Dr Robert Turnbull has a practice dedicated to providing visiting conscious dental services to a large number of practices across Sydney. As a Dental Board of Australia endorsed Dental Sedationist, he undergoes annual re-endorsement training in the manage-ment of Medical Emergencies.

He is in the Council of the Australian Society of Dental Anaesthesiology, responsible for managing the Annual Scientific Meeting and Emergency Management Training provided by the Society. He also teaches postgraduate Intravenous Sedation and Management of Medical Emergencies, Anxiety and Pain Management, Relative Analgesia to dental undergraduate and postgraduate students in the IV Sedation Department of the University of Sydney at Westmead Hospital.

Dr Turnbull is qualified as an Advanced Life Support Level 2 provider with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC).

Dr Turnbull has fifteen years of experience in general dentistry working all around Australia, gaining valuable experience in general and emergency dentistry, medical emergencies, and the management of small and large, fixed and portable dental facilities. For nine years he was a Dental Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force, where he gained valuable experience in the management of emergencies in the on-base, deployed and aero-medical evacuation environments, in addition to Forensic Dentistry involvement in Disaster Victim Identification.
