Professor Roy George is the Director of the DClinDent and Honours program, the Discipline Lead for Endodontics (UG&PG) at the School of Medicine and Dentistry Griffith University, Gold Coast, Australia. He completed his master’s and then when on to complete his PhD in Laser applications in Endodontics. He is a member of the Royal Australasian college of surgeons ( Endo) and a Fellow of the Royal college of surgeons ( Edin). Professor George has research interest in laser applications in dentistry and dental material science. He also has a keen interest in dental education research and uptake of technology. Professor George has successfully mentored several research students (Honours and PhD), has over 20 years of teaching experience in Endodontics and has published over 100 peer review articles. George was awarded an International Patent, for inventing a Novel Fiberoptics tip design for applications in dentistry. Professor George is currently active in teaching, research, private practice, service and in his role as the A/Editor of Laser in Medical Science.
