Parul leads the research and health promotion team at Monash Health Dental Services and is also a lecturer & simulation clinic tutor at Charles Sturt University for Bachelor of Oral Health. Parul completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Maharshi Dayanand University, India and obtained his Master of Public Health and Master of Health & Human Services Management from Deakin University, Melbourne. Over the years he has worked with various community health centres and academic institutes on a number of translational and innovative projects including the tele-dentistry project with Melbourne Dental School, The University of Melbourne. His interests include all aspects of Caries Management by Risk Assessment [CAMBRA], child oral health, dental public health and evidence based dentistry. He has also published some of his work in the field of dentistry in peer-reviewed journals.
Recently he received a fellowship from Monash Health to develop an oral health assessment tool to identify oral health risk factors in Aboriginal population group.
