Mr Shane Hawkinson trained as a United States Naval Corpsman before becoming a specialist educator in advanced resuscitation and pre-hospital ambulance care. In his navy role Shane worked as a nurse within the US Navy’s hospitals, and as an ambulance officer at major US Naval bases in the US and Japan. He also served as a front line medic for the US Marine Corps in Iraq and the Pacific. Following his discharge from the US Navy arrived in Tasmania where he completed a degree in Marine Technology Management. Once in Melbourne, Shane worked within the Ambulance industry in a number of front line and support roles prior to recruitment by Cynergex Group as an ambulance and advanced life support instructor. In this role he has developed extensive experience with medical problems in general medical practice and in dentistry, and has been promoted to Manager of the Victorian Training Operations and Chief Instructor for all Australian basic ambulance qualifications. In this latter role he is a member of the Cynergex Group Board of Studies, which oversights all courses and qualifications.
