Danielle is the Co-founder & CEO of the Yoga Impact Charity, a not-for-profit providing evidence based trauma sensitive yoga programs that improve physical and psychological health. The Yoga Impact Charity partners with not-for-profit organisations, government and schools to provide yoga at no cost to groups of all ages healing from torture and trauma. The Yoga Impact Charity has delivered over 300 trauma sensitive yoga classes.
Danielle is also an advocate of the inclusion of yoga within health services and has presented at a variety of workshops and conferences globally including the North American Refugee Health Conference in Toronto, Australia & New Zealand’s Refugee Trauma Recovery in Resettlement Conference, The Ingham Institute for Applied Medical Research Conference and Settlement Services International’s from Settlement to Belonging Conference.
Danielle recently completed Harvard Medical School's Global Mental Health Trauma and Recovery Certificate Program. She is also a certified yoga teacher and holds a Master of Science in Comparative Social Policy from The University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Hons) from The University of Queensland. She is a recipient of the Centenary Medal for her contribution to social justice.
