Prof Alessandro Pozzi, DDS, PhD has been in private practice in Rome, Italy since 1997. He was formally trained in the inter-related areas of Oral surgery, Prosthodontics and Laboratory technology. Former Professor of Oral Rehabilitation at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy. Currently He holds the Interim Chair of Oral Surgery-Implantology at the Marche Polytechnic University, Ancona, Italy. He has a Lecturer appointment at UCLA University Los Angeles, where with his mentor Prof Peter K Moy, carries on clinical researches on cutting edges technologies and materials, in order to simplify the surgical and prosthetic digital procedures. His expertise focuses primarily on integrated digital workflow in Implant dentistry, Prosthodontics with CAD/CAM technology and Esthetics on natural teeth and implants. Researcher and scientist, he As a resercher, he has been selected to receive the 2013 Judson C. Hickey Scientific Writing Award in the Clinical Report Category. Active member of the Academy of Osseointegration, of the European Association of Osseointegration and of the Italian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. He performs both surgical and prosthetic treatments, installing his passion in his daily working and teaching. He has been teaching both specialization courses and masters programs and lecturing at national and international congresses.
